ACRO Biomedical and Tri-Service General Hospital signed a memorandum of understanding for the placement in the Innovation Incubation Center.
ACRO Biomedical and the Tri-Service General Hospital are currently working together to carry out human clinical trials using decellularized porcine cornea. Future collaborations include human clinical trials in orthopedic and dental products. In addition, decellularized porcine arteries will be used in heart bypass surgery, decellularized porcine neural tube for peripheral nerves and spinal nerves, decellularized porcine ureter for the ureteral and urethral atrophy repair.
Mr. Lu-Yen Wang, the chairman of ACRO Biomedical Co., hopes to benefit the hospital, ACRO and the patients in this cooperation.
Jian-Song Tsai, the director of the Tri-Service General Hospital, stated that the "hospital possesses professional medical technology for clinical medicine in various departments. By collaborating with domestic biotech companies and applying biomedical technologies to clinical trials, the quality of the medical treatment can be improved".
Wei-Cheng Lin, the director of Southern Taiwan Science Park Bureau, is honored to be the witness of the all-round cooperation between ACRO Biomedical and the Tri-Service General Hospital. He wishes that their endeavors will bring Taiwan to the eyes of the world.
