Advancing Biotechnology and Sustainable Healthcare
Kaohsiung Show Chwan Memorial Hospital, in collaboration with multiple biotech companies from the Southern Taiwan Science Park, has jointly issued the "Resilient Taiwan, Public Health for All" initiative. This initiative focuses on integrating resources across the medical and biotech industries, combining innovation, clinical trials, and product showcases to establish a world-class biotech platform. The ultimate goal is to promote environmentally friendly and sustainable healthcare models.
Dr. Chao Chao-Chin, Superintendent of Kaohsiung Show Chwan Memorial Hospital, stated:
"Through collaboration between industry, government, and academia, we aim to elevate Taiwan’s biomedical and healthcare sectors, using Southern Taiwan as a base to expand into international markets."
The event featured notable participants, including Dr. Huang Shih-Wei, President of Asia Minimally Invasive Center and Show Chwan Healthcare System’s Central Region Headquarters, as well as renowned French minimally invasive surgery expert Professor Marescaux, alongside several biotech companies from the Southern Taiwan Science Park.
During the event, representatives from the Association for Science Park Industries - Southern Taiwan Office and 17 biotech companies pledged to advance the holistic health industry, leveraging the synergies of industry, government, and academia with the Southern Taiwan Science Park’s strengths. Their joint commitment aims to foster the sustainable and socially responsible development of the biotech and healthcare industries, ensuring long-term mutual prosperity.
