On October 28, 2024, the BioConnect: Australia-Taiwan Biotech Forum successfully took place in Melbourne, Australia. The event was co-hosted by the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries Promotion Office (BPIPO) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Southern Taiwan Science Park Bureau, the Development Center for Biotechnology (DCB), and the Australian Office in Taipei. Bringing together numerous biotech enterprises from Taiwan and Australia, the forum served as a key platform for bilateral exchange, highlighting Taiwan’s strengths in regenerative medicine, biotechnology, and digital health.
Leading the Taiwanese delegation, Michael Huang, Director of BPIPO and Deputy Executive Director of DCB, emphasized Taiwan’s commitment to fostering close industry-academia collaboration with Australia in the field of biotechnology.
